Our Services
Safe Home Strategies provides a client evaluation, home evaluation, and summary of client specific recommendations to make the client's living spaces safer for increased independence and accessibility within the home. After reviewing the evaluations and recommendations, the client can choose to receive further services to implement the recommendations. Implementation may include ordering, delivering, and/or installing adaptive equipment/modifications, strategically organizing spaces, and client education/training.

Home visit to assess space and determine clients’ wants/needs for particular space.
During visit, the following are examples of what will be assessed:
Functional mobility pathways
Placement of household items
Arrangement of closets, cabinets, and storage spaces
Current and potential fall risk hazards
Current adaptive equipment/durable medical equipment in place
Home Evaluation
Focus on low cost to no cost solutions
Environmental modifications
Strategic organization
Adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment recommendations
Ordering and delivering equipment/tools as requested by client
Eliminating fall and safety hazards

Education is key to maintaining and utilizing spaces safely despite any limitations a person may have. Education on energy conservation techniques, use of adaptive equipment, proper body mechanics, safety awareness, and more allows for clients to thrive in their homes without compromising what is meaningful to them.
